This notice accurately summarizes our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information concerning those customers of ours who obtain a financial product or service from us that is to be used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes.
DEFINITION OF TERMS :
When we use the words "you & your" we mean our customers. When we use the words "we, our & us" we mean the Hanston State Bank of Hanston, Lewis and Bank of Hays.
Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.
An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, and a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
A nonaffiliated third party is a company that is not an affiliate of ours.

WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE :
We do not disclose, and do not reserve the right to disclose, nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to any affiliates or to any third parties, except as permitted by law. We are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to our affiliates and third parties in certain circumstances. If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.
OUR SECURITY PROCEDURES :
We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to those of our employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
NOTICE TO CUSTOMER :
For your protection and as a result of the new privacy laws being enforced; we are requiring all customers doing telephone transfers and account balance inquiries to provide their account numbers in order for the transaction to be completed.
